About the Author and Illustrator

About the Author and Illustrator Channon Gray was born in Cornwall, England. She studied Social Anthropology at LSE before embarking on a journey to New York City where she worked on a summer camp as an Art Teacher in 2018. Since then, Channon has become a Primary School Teacher after studying for her PGCE at Cambridge University. She enjoys walking on the beach, hanging out with her pets and being creative. "Hi Germs, Please Go Away!" is her debut picture book set and shares the story of her pet hamsters as they become Scientists! About the debut picture book “Hi Germs, Please Go Away!” It is a children's book for 3 to 8-year-olds that love hamsters and small animals. Follows Bear the full-time Hamster (part-time Scientist) and his friends as they go on a germ-fighting adventure. An ideal bedtime story for reading and interacting with your child that not only entertains but also teaches personal hygiene and handwashing and why it is important. Whether your child loves cute furry animals or is a budding scientist they will enjoy the story as well as the bright illustrations and colours used.
